His forecasts since 1993 have included predictions about terrorism, economic collapses and war. More recent forecasts involve fascism in the United States, food riots and tax revolts. Celente has long predicted global anti-Americanism, a failing economy and immigration woes in the US[13] In December 2007 Celente wrote, "Failing banks, busted brokerages, toppled corporate giants, bankrupt cities, states in default, foreign creditors cashing out of US securities ... whatever the spark, the stage is set for panic in the streets" and "Just as the Twin Towers collapsed from the top down, so too will the US economy ... when the giant firms fall, theyll crush the man on the street." He has also predicted tax revolts. In November 2008 Celente appeared on Fox Business Network and predicted economic depression, tax rebellions and food riots in the United States by 2012. Celente also predicted an "economic 9/11" and a "panic of 2008." In 2009 Celente predicted turmoil which he described as "Obamageddon" and he was a popular guest on conservative cable-TV shows such as Fox News Sunday and Glenn Beck's ...

What is FTTH - A Simple Introduction from Fibre to the Home Council Europe
What is FTTH - A Simple Introduction from Fibre to the Home Council Europe
Get fiber optic products from FO4SALE www.fiberoptics4sale.com A Cute and Fun video about FTTH! FTTH (Fiber To The Home) is the idea of bringing high-speed networking, digital television and telephone service to residences using fiber optic cables. Although we think of cable modem and DSL services as "high speed" today, they are too slow to support networking of applications envisaged for the future such as high-definition IPTV. Telecommunications companies developing FTTH technology plan to support 100+ Mbps bandwidth per home. They view fiber optic cabling as the best technology for high-speed, high-quality residential area networking, eventually replacing both telephone and cable TV lines. Costs to get FTTH services off the ground are high, but fiber to the home installations are steadily increasing around the world.

Turtle European Commision Research and Development TiDE Bridge Phase ref#t1194 1995
Film from 1995 describing European Commission-funded research project t1194 'Turtle' which transformed textual bus timetable information into a searchable journey planner enhanced by accessibility information and made it available on PCs, cable TV teletext and on-street kiosks. Part way through the project, which was led by Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Authority, the German partner walked into the room with a floppy disk in his pocket and proclaimed 'you must see this. this is the future. this is the internet'. Turtle used the Datex data format and was the precursor to many journey planning initiatives since, especially those involving accessibility information.

European Skateboard Championships : Basel 2007
Here is a piece I did about the European Championships for 'The Daily Habit' on FUEL TV. The contest is held each year in Basel, Switzerland and has been going for the last 7 years. The rad part about the event is it gives a chance for everyone from across Europe to get together and enjoy a few days of skating, parties, and catch up dinners. Everyone has great stories from their travels and it seems to keep the dinner fun. Special thanks to Monika at SkateboardEurope/ Sole Tech Europe, The Daily Habit, and all the skaters at the contest. Liberty Global Acquiring German Cable Provider For $4.48 Billion
Liberty Global Acquiring German Cable Provider For $4.48 Billion
Liberty Global (NASDAQ:LBTYA) announced today an agreement to acquire KBW, the third largest cable TV operator in Germany. The deal follows a fierce battle for the German cable operator. Cablevision (NYSE:CVC) declined to raise its $4.18 billion offer, and a third offer from buyout firm Hellman & Friedman was surpassed by both Cablevision and Liberty Global last week. KBW provides TV, broadband internet, and telephone services in the German federal state of Baden-Wurttemberg, one of the most prosperous regions in Europe. As of December 31, 2010, KBW's broadband communications network supplied 3.7 million homes and 2.4 million customers with basic cable, pay TV, telephone and broadband internet services. Mike Fries, President and CEO of Liberty Global, commented: "The proposed acquisition of KBW is great news for our shareholders and, just as importantly, German consumers. This transaction provides us with further access to one of the fastest-growing cable markets in Europe and is fully aligned with our strategy of acquiring world-class cable operations that are accretive from a value and growth perspective. Together with our existing Unitymedia operation that passes 8.7 million homes and serves 4.6 million customers in the contiguous states of Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany will become our largest European market and a key driver for continued innovation in next generation broadband and digital TV services." Liberty Global will acquire KBW in a series of ...

Roger Troutman 1987 Interview on Soul In the City (Part 1)
From the great Canadian TV-show "Soul In The City" which aired on MuchMusic there and on Sky Channel in Europe for those who had cable TV when it was in its infancy. The host, Michael Williams, was a really good interviewer who actually liked the music and was into the artists he talked to. I have not seen anyone do a better job as a VJ/Host than he did. This is from 1987 when Roger released his "Unlimited" album. I had to edit out the music videos that accompanied this great interview.

Martin Bashir Exposes The Great Republican Hoax
Martin Bashir Exposes The Great Republican Hoax
Martin Bashir may be the most underrated show host on cable television. His show is consistently smart, loaded with facts and good discussion without the incessant screaming and fireworks of other cable news shows. His interview of Rep. Joe Walsh was masterful and yet, polite. Which is why when Bashir closes his Thursday show with a three-minute comment where he's clearly a bit angry, it gets my attention. Mr. Bashir is frustrated with the constant drumbeat from Republicans about President Obama allegedly turning the US government into a "European-style government" and so he delivers an excellent argument for why they are wrong, and why the ones who are trying to point the United States in the direction of European-style governance are...Republicans. Bashir targets the Republican fetish for austerity and spending cuts as evidence that they, not Democrats, are trying to transform the United States. At the end, he offers the results of Republican-style austerity measures in Europe, and what they haven't accomplished. Well done, Mr. Bashir. Transcript below the fold. BASHIR: And if the Republican candidates carry on with their usual practice, then tonight at the CNN debate, they will continue to peddle a massive hoax, an incredible myth upon the American people. And what is that myth? That President Obama wants to transform America into Europe. (BEGIN CLIP) ROMNEY: President Obama has been building a European-style welfare state. GINGRICH: Give the American people a chance ...
